We now teach 2 classic Chinese instruments – the guzheng and the erhu!

Yvonne and Ceri are accomplished musicians who teach the guzheng and erhu, respectively.

The guzheng (Chinese: 古箏), is a 21 stringed instrument made of Paulownia wood that is also known as a Chinese zither. The guzheng inspired several other Asian instruments, such as the Japanese koto, the Korean gayageum, and the Vietnamese dan tranh.

The erhu (Chinese: 二胡) is a two-stringed bowed musical instrument and is also called the Chinese violin. It is used as a solo instrument as well as in small ensembles and large orchestras. The erhu is used in both traditional and contemporary music arrangements including pop, rock, and jazz.
