The Grand Annex Theater in San Pedro is pleased to announce a new strings chamber ensemble series starting on January 18, 2026! This series will perform well-known classical pieces in a 4 to 6 strings ensemble of violin, viola, cello, and other instruments.
The concert series will be led by Shura Sasaki and Juhee Jeon, two violinists who have extensive experience teaching and performing over the past 25 years.
The first concert on January 18 will be a string quartet performing a mix of both classical and “pops strings” music. The classical pieces will include the complete Haydn Quartet No. 53 (Lark) Op. 64. No. 5, and works from Mozart and Beethoven. The “pops strings” will include a 20 minute medley of classic Beatles songs and other well-known pop songs.
