- New Strings Chamber Ensemble Music Series

The Grand Annex is pleased to announce a new strings chamber ensemble series starting on January 18, 2026! This series will perform well-known classical and popular pieces in a 4 to 6 strings ensemble.
The first concert on January 18 will be a string quartet performing a mix of both classical and “pops strings” music. The classical pieces will include the complete Haydn Quartet No. 53 (Lark), and works from Mozart and Beethoven. The “pops strings” will include a medley of classic Beatles songs, and a number of other well-known popular songs all arranged by Shura Sasaki.
The next concerts will feature works from composers including Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Schubert, in addition to a tribute to a few popular artists.
The concert series will be led by Shura Sasaki and Juhee Jeon, two violinists who have extensive teaching and performance experience. Shura performs in a number of orchestras and ensembles including Orchestra Nova Los Angeles and Long Beach Ballet. Juhee has also performed in numerous venues including the Elohim Chamber Ensemble in Korea, and has led a number of youth orchestras.
Ticket prices start at $28 per person and $18 for students under the age of 18. The theater welcomes children and students so bring the entire family and friends. With only 150 seats, all seats have excellent viewing. Please use this link for tickets:
The concerts will provide a memorable experience of timeless music from the great European classical composers in addition to a tribute to a number of popular artists including the Beatles.
